On the 1st October, Swifts Next Step Acro, Development Group and Club tumblers made their way to Hollington Gymnastics Club for the Regional competition. It was the first competition of our season so everyone awoke very excited for the day ahead! For many gymnasts, this competition was their first ever time competing. But this didn’t stop them for every gymnast managed to overcome their nerves and the results were fantastic! On the Acrobatic side, five pairings won gold medals and were therefore crowned South East Regional Champions! A huge congratulations to Eva Gage, Amelia Vickery, Grace Brown, Cassidy Fischer, George Turner, Ruby Lemmon, Keyleigh Humphrey, Alyssa Day, Harriet Wheatley and Tegan White. A further congratulations to Ruby Roddie and Amy Crowley who placed second in their event! On the Tumbling side, three gymnasts were awarded gold and crowned Regional Champions. A huge well done to Logan Mount, George Turner and Rosie Sears! A further congratulations to Riley Ewell who placed second in his event and Leah Salvidge who placed 3rd in her level. Two Acrobatic pairings were also awarded shields for being the overall highest score across age groups for their level! Congratulations Grace & Cassie and Harriet & Tegan on this fabulous achievement. Swifts would also like to congratulate all other gymnasts that competed. The competition was tough and every gymnast competed to an excellent standard. The club could not have asked for better results and all coaches and parents involved were over the moon.
